Arts, Enrichment & Innovation Grants

Students learn more when they’re engaged.

Bellevue Schools Foundation is thrilled to announce the awards for Arts, Enrichment & Innovation Grants for the 2022-23 school year. Arts, Enrichment, and Innovation Grants fund projects in the Bellevue School District that extend the regular curriculum, encourage higher-level thinking skills, enrich students through art, music, culture, science, or other activities, and provide opportunities for innovation in classrooms.

Arts, Enrichment and Innovation classroom grants give teachers the resources to enrich, enliven and elevate education for their students. The grants allow teachers and students opportunities to explore new places, experiment with art forms, visit with favorite authors, bring live performances to schools, and introduce innovative projects into the classroom.

Our schools are experiencing increasing difficulty accessing funding for even the most basic educational needs and materials. The education “extras” in our schools are no longer supported by school district budgets. Enrichment and experiential learning, including music, art, culture, and science, makes school more challenging, meaningful and enjoyable for students. Support for the arts and innovative classroom projects helps spark a love for learning.

Program Description

Bellevue Schools Foundation offers school-based grants to teachers and staff to enhance the education experience for their students and provide opportunities for innovation in the classroom. This competitive Arts, Enrichment & Innovation Grants Program funds innovative projects that extend the regular curriculum, encourage higher-level thinking skills, or enrich students through culture, art, music, field trips, or other activities.

$2.3 Million

To date, the Foundation has invested more than $2.3 Million in Arts, Enrichment & Innovation Grants to support projects that engage and capture the imagination of students in each of our public schools. Bellevue Schools Foundation encourages teachers to partner with colleagues in Bellevue’s Title 1 (low-income) schools to bring arts, enrichment, and innovation to children who may not have access to these experiences outside of school.

Music Grants

Music grants, awarded separately in the past to purchase needed music instruments or support professional clinicians, are now awarded through the Arts, Enrichment & Innovation Grants.
