Bellevue Schools Foundation Board of Directors Request for Applications
Board Service Overview
BSF is seeking engaged leaders passionate about public schools and community to join its Board of Directors beginning September 2026.
The Board raises funds, provides governance, strategic leadership, financial stewardship, and philanthropic partnership to advance the Foundation’s mission and long-term impact. Board members serve as ambassadors for public education and help strengthen connections between the Foundation and the broader Bellevue community.
Priorities
At this time, BSF is particularly interested in candidates with experience or expertise in:
Fundraising and fund development
Corporate partnerships and sponsorships
Finance, accounting, or investment oversight
Marketing and communications
Board Member Commitments
Attend monthly Board of Directors meetings and actively engage in board discussions and decision-making
Serve on at least one board committee
Participate in the Foundation’s annual philanthropy and donor engagement cycle
Host or support a table at the annual Spring for Schools fundraising gala
Make a meaningful annual personal financial contribution through a give-or-get commitment
Support and promote Foundation events, campaigns, and community engagement activities throughout the year
Serve as a visible ambassador for Bellevue Schools Foundation within the community
Application Process
Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume and brief letter of interest to pastpresident@bsfdn.org. Selected candidates will participate in
an interview process with Foundation representatives and current board leadership.
Board Terms
Board members serve three-year terms beginning in September 2026, with the opportunity for renewal in alignment with board policies and organizational needs.
Volunteers do not necessarily have the time, but they have the heart.
