Welcome Back to School
The Bellevue Schools Foundation (BSF) Board met to kick off the 2019-2020 year. A big Thank You to last year’s President, John Seethoff, for his leadership and dedication.
This year, Board President Arthur Emery, owner and co-founder of the Learning Professionals, is on a mission to champion suicide prevention and mental-health programs. The Foundation is partnering with the Bellevue School District (BSD) to raise $450,000 over 5 years, for a school-wide, evidence-based suicide prevention program that consists of curriculum and evaluation tools. More than 40 staff will be trained to assess and support students’ mental health.
The BSF has long supported the Districts’ efforts to improve student well-being. Your gifts help us to continue to lead the way in ensuring our students have the resources they need to thrive-in school and in life.
We’re looking forward to another amazing year and hope that you’ll continue to be part of it.
Our Kids Need You
The BSF Fall fundraising campaign is underway! Our goal is to raise $300,000 this Fall from parents like YOU. Public funding is not enough to fund the exceptional programming that makes Bellevue Schools the best in the Nation. Your gift helps to fund the following programs in our schools:
Training for 40+ additional counselors to address student stress, anxiety and depression;
Training for teachers to integrate cutting-edge Computer Science curriculum in every classroom;
Libraries in our classrooms with characters and narratives that reflect our District’s global culture;
Mentoring programs that provide one-on-one support for students in need;
